Iconoid is a lightweight easy to use software that takes just about a minute to install on your computer. With an easy and quick installation wizard, the software is already installed and ready to go. At first, you may find the interface a little confusing, but once you follow it through, it's very simple. All you have to do is click on the icon and then choose "Download & install" to get your software installed.
As you download and install the software, you will soon realize that Iconoid can do much more than just make your desktop look better. While there are a few options for changing your desktop theme, the software comes with the tools that you need to change the entire background of your computer. There are many different colors to choose from, so you can easily make any Windows XP desktop stand out. You can also add pictures or backgrounds that will match the rest of the graphics on your computer.
Some people may complain that Iconoid only has a small number of features, and the fact that there is no desktop manager is a real problem. The program has a feature called Dashboard, however, that allows you to change the status bar or desktop icons while using the software without having to manually move or resize the icons yourself. Some people think that this is too easy to bypass, but after using the program for a while, I find that this is the best way to make changes to my icons without being frustrated. When you have to move and resize the icons, you may end up having to do it a hundred times to make the icons match up perfectly.
